The Cosmic Muffin also was included in “More Boeing 307 Memories,” an article in the August 2002 issue of Sport Aviation: The Magazine of Recreational Aviation published by the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA).
Photo in Trailer Boats
In October 2002, the vessel also was depicted in Trailer Boats magazine’s Over the Transom photo content. The submission was by John Bottke of Saginaw, Michigan. The Cosmic Muffin definitely is not a “trailer boat!”
People Magazine Coverage
The Cosmic Muffin and owner Dave Drimmer is the main topic of the Gallery feature — “Unreal Estate” in the November 11, 2002, People magazine. Watch for it on the newsstand. Heinz Klutemeier, a photographer for People, spent an afternoon photographing the boat on Fort Lauderdale waterways in early October.
Ft. Lauderdale Commends Drimmer
Dave Drimmer received a Commendation at the Fort Lauderdale City Commission meeting on December 17, 2002. Commissioner Tim Smith made the presentation on behalf of Mayor Jim Naugle, who signed the Commendation. See the commendation.
